Here is an Op-Ed I wrote for MedPage Today’s Second Opinions section entitled, “Neurotechnology Development Must Be Slow and Steady.” In this article I discuss the promise and risks of the field of neurotechnology, specifically highlighting the uses of Brain Computer Interfaces (BCIs).

I wrote an op-ed for Stat News entitled “Neuroscience has to grapple with a long legacy of racism if it wants to move into the future.” In it I reviewed the beginnings of neuroscience, the racism and bias intertwined with its development and gave a rallying call for what we can do to better include Black people.
